#24 - Off to Europe!

Destination - PARIS!

So after my son had been asking half his life - granted it was only 5 years. He was now just 10. But he had convinced me that Paris was a good 'bucket list' item to do as a family. It did sound enticing with our loves of Art & Architecture. Since his older sister was 13, time was ticking LOUD to make it happen during this 'sweet spot' when they are both living under this same roof.

I started to consider the possibility. After about a year of me researching, planning and trying to learn some french quickly (!), we set off for Europe...

Enjoy a virtual walk with us around Paris.

The kids on our way to The Louvre.

The Louvre... There is A LOT of art to see in there!
So. Much. To. See.... awe inspiring really.

A Picasso show at the Le Grand Palais.
View of The Louvre from behind the clock inside the Musee D'Orsay.
The Musee D'Orsay - now a favorite of mine...
Look at all that great Art in there!...and the architecture of the old train station makes it such a unique space.
The kids 'dramatization' of the art work continues...
A 'grand area' within the Musee D'Orsay - the architecture itch was scratched!
The Pompidou - not quite as enthralling to me.
View from the top of the Eiffel Tower.
Inside the Arc de Triomphe.
Going back down the Arc de Triomphe steps.
An evening water ferry ride under the bridges of Paris. Magical!
The performance "La Baydere" at the Opera Bastille was absolutely spectacular.
The entire city is sooo beautiful. Art is everywhere. I fell in love with Paris.
